Apple introduces a wireless charging pad. It charges your iPhone, Air pods and Apple watch. AirPower works without the special case. You don’t need to plug in your iPhone. You just plop your iPhone on to the AirPower pad, it starts charging.

Place the AirPower anywhere and plug it. Then place your Apple devices on the pad. An electromagnetic field is used to transfer the power from AirPower to a device. If you place your device on AirPower, it receives a signal from pad to the device. It checks for its charge capacity and compatibility and it starts charging. You are able to charge iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X with the AirPower.

iPhone work with AirPower?

Only three iPhones work with AirPower. IPhone 8, iPhone 8 plus, iPhone X. These three iPhones having the glass backs and also they have the hardware support to charge wirelessly.

iPad work with AirPower?

The current iPads are not compatible with AirPower. Since, it requires a glass back. A glass back iPad would be heavy, expensive and it is difficult to use.

AirPods

You can charge your AirPods but you need to buy the AirPod case. You must place the ear buds in the new case and place the case on AirPower.

MacBook

No, you can’t charge your MacBook with AirPower. It is designed to work with iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, Apple watch series and new AirPods.
